INTRODUCTION:

HD6002 thickener has good mechanical stability, storage stability and freeze-thaw stability, adding the thickener can increase the low shear viscosity, with good anti-settling, anti-water separation, scrub resistance.

This product is a pure taste series of products, environmentally friendly and tasteless, can be used for pure taste paint series. This product is a milky liquid, diluted with water when used, and is an ideal thickening agent for various water-based coatings.

FEATURES :

1: The water-based thickening agent can be directly drawn into the emulsion or paint, the final product PH value should be above 7 thickening effect is obvious, Ph value below 7 should be added  water and other alkaline substances, so that the PH value is adjusted to more than 7. Otherwise the thickening effect is poor.

2: The thickening agent is generally shared with other thickening agents, and the amount of time used alone accounts for about 0.8%-- 0.9% of the weight of the latex paint, and the actual addition amount is subject to the viscosity of the latex paint required. The thickening agent has no effect
on gloss and scrubbing resistance when added to latex paint.

3. Storage and packaging:
A. All emulsions/additives are water-based and there is no risk of explosion when transported.
B. 200 kg/iron/plastic drum.1000 kg/pallet.
C. Flexible packaging suitable for 20 ft container is optional.
D. This product should be stored in a cool and dry environment, avoid moisture and rain.The storage temperature is 5 ~ 40ºC, and the storage period is about 12 months.
A thickening agent or thickener is a substance which can increase the viscosity of a liquid without substantially changing its other properties. Edible thickeners are commonly used to thicken sauces, soups, and puddings without altering their taste; thickeners are also used in paints, inks, explosives, and cosmetics.

Thickeners may also improve the suspension of other ingredients or emulsions which increases the stability of the product. Thickening agents are often regulated as food additives and as cosmetics and personal hygiene product ingredients. Some thickening agents are gelling agents (gellants), forming a gel, dissolving in the liquid phase as a colloid mixture that forms a weakly cohesive internal structure. Others act as mechanical thixotropic additives with discrete particles adhering or interlocking to resist strain.

Thickening agents can also be used when a medical condition such as dysphagia causes difficulty in swallowing. Thickened liquids play a vital role in reducing risk of aspiration for dysphagia patients.[1]

Many other food ingredients are used as thickeners, usually in the final stages of preparation of specific foods. These thickeners have a flavor and are not markedly stable, thus are not suitable for general use. However, they are very convenient and effective, and hence are widely used.

Different thickeners may be more or less suitable in a given application, due to differences in taste, clarity, and their responses to chemical and physical conditions. For example, for acidic foods, arrowroot is a better choice than cornstarch, which loses thickening potency in acidic mixtures. At (acidic) pH levels below 4.5, guar gum has sharply reduced aqueous solubility, thus also reducing its thickening capability. If the food is to be frozen, tapioca or arrowroot are preferable over cornstarch, which becomes spongy when frozen.
